Chef Bio
Growing up, the social center of his Austin household was the kitchen. Chris spent a good deal of time watching and helping out and his passion for food was born. Throughout his formal education, he worked in the industry and grew to love the energy and the camaraderie. In 2006 he had an ‘eureka’ moment and decided to enroll at Texas Culinary Academy in Austin to further educate himself and pursue his culinary dream.
Chris cut his teeth at several Austin eateries before landing at the Lake Austin Spa and Resort as a line cook and learned that food can be both delicious and healthy. After working at Zoot, he returned to LASR as Sous Chef and has been expressing his love and knowledge of food there for the past two years.
“I like to show people that when food is fresh and in season, you don’t need to do much more than get out of the way and let the ingredients shine.”
